About me
I’m a Houston-based photographer with 25 years of experience. My portfolio spans a wide range of subjects, from concerts and wildlife to everything in between. I’ve always been fascinated by the stories a single photograph can tell. However, it wasn’t until I actively started shooting that I truly realized the profound impact my photography could have on both myself and others.
I had an amazing experience when a mentor gave me press passes to a concert. It was a dream come true for me, as I love music and photography. I began covering shows for MTV, which led me to various events for Getty Images, corporate functions, and even weddings. My photography is all about capturing the essence and emotion of the moment, and sometimes, the most important shots are the ones that may seem ordinary.
While pursuing concerts and events, I also wanted to explore personal projects. My fascination with the beauty of our world inspired me to venture into nature photography. I was instantly humbled by the challenges involved. There’s very little room for error, the light can be harsh, exposure varies widely from subject to subject, and they move unpredictably. Despite these obstacles, I found joy in connecting with nature and learning about the animals I encountered, which made me want to hone my skills. Little did I know that these skills would influence the rest of my work.
My current work is a true reflection of all the knowledge and skills I’ve gained over the years. I’m absolutely passionate about photography. It really is a part of who I am. Just don’t even get me started on camera gear! I may never shut up about it. If you have any questions or need help with a project, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help, and if I can’t, I bet I know someone that can.
